Volunteer

BCTA organizational tasks, advocacy efforts, community outreach programs, and the running of our events are performed with 100% volunteer time.

Areas in need of volunteers

If any of the jobs or committees appeal to you, download our volunteer form PDF and mail it in, or email bainbridgecta@gmail.com

Board members

The BCTA board meets twice a year  at a mutually agreed time. We added three new members last year  to help broaden our decision making base, communicate with the park department/board, and help with social and fundraising efforts. We are currently seeing an additional board member and vice-chair.

Court Care Committee

Work with BIMPRD to Maintain Park Courts. We could use some brooms for Sakai. If you have a spare, drop it off at the courts.

Sakai Park Courts Committee

Advocate for more Tennis Courts in Sakai Park, as well as amenities. Looking to add a picnic table and benches. One grant is out for this, but donations would be appreciated.

Media

This could be you!!!! We  really need someone to help with keeping a public face in the local media.

Write Articles & Take Photos for Local Newspapers

Youth tennis

BCTA runs junior tennis programs at every level from elementary (8-10 yrs-old) to high school (14-18 yrs-old).  We hire experienced coaches to head each program but rely on assistant volunteers to ensure our programs have a low teacher/player ratio and as much opportunity for improvement as possible.  The only qualification for this volunteer job is to love both tennis and kids.
