Youth Tennis Programs Quick Start Tennis Camps Kids want to rally a ball and learn to play with their parents and friends as quickly as possible. Quick Start Tennis gives kids the opportunity to learn quickly in a fun environment. During these one week camps, basic tennis skills will be taught and students will be ready to play tennis faster than every before.
Ages 7-10 years: 3:00-4:15 Register on-line at: www.biparks.org Play with Your KidsSometimes the best way children learn tennis is to play with their parent(s). BCTA owns child appropriate nets (can be assembled in minutes on court), slow moving tennis balls, and 23 & 25 inch racquets. Call (206) 855-0632 if you are a BCTA member and would like to borrow child friendly equipment. Elementary School TennisKids 7-10 years old play tennis after school in their own gym at Blakely, Odyssey, Ordway and Wilkes during January – March. They meet once a week to play games and learn beginner tennis skills using junior tennis racquets, lower, shorter, nets and foam or low compression balls. The four elementary schools meet for a tournament at the end of the season. Having fun is heavily emphasized in this program. High School TennisTennis at Bainbridge High School is a spring sport. Practices begin in February. Contact Mike Anderson at Bainbridge High School. manderson@bainbridge.wednet.edu |
